Easter 2010
The forecast for the Easter weekend according to the Met Office could not have been worse, unless you lived in Scotland. As can oftenhappen the forecast was wrong and on the whole the weekend was good, at Lobb Fields we had glorious sunny days Friday and Sunday with rain only on Saturday afternoon. However the sea and wind were great for surfing and kite surfing. Many of the visitors over the weekend were participants and organisers of a 3 day Orienteering event; two of the those days were held in Braunton Burrows and thus Lobb Fields was the ideal base. The feedback from the competitors was very positive and everyone enjoyed the competition, although there were many comments on the extremely muddy conditions on the Saturday. Lobb Field held a children's Easter Egg competition, children were invited to decorate a boiled egg in their own unique style. The competition proved a great success with over 20 children entering their decorated eggs. Thinking caps on for the next competition????? |
